Phillips Output Reduced
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- Phillips Petroleum Co. is temporarily reducing gasoline output at its 240,000-barrel-per day (bpd) Bayway refinery in Linden, N.J., after a small fire Tuesday.
The company will have to shut down or cut runs of its 140,000 bpd cat cracker after a minor fire, Reuters reported.
The company owns and operates 300 convenience stores and supplies hundreds more in the New Jersey market. Phillips also is reportedly close to closing on its merger agreement with Houston-based Conoco Inc., which would make it one of the top five oil companies in the United States.
