Pierre Grillers Microwaveable Sandwiches

Pierre Foods unveiled Pierre Grillers, a line of premium, panini-style microwaveable sandwiches that are made with flame-broiled meats, quality breads and distinctive cheeses, the company stated. Sandwiches are pre-grilled, adding a toasted flavor to the sandwich but come with the company's proprietary crisping sleeve for cooking in the microwave without looking the grilled texture or flavor, according to the company. Two varieties are available -- Classic Patty Melt with Sauteed Onions and Cheddar Cheese on Grilled Rye Bread; and Flame Broiled Chicken and Swiss Cheese on Grilled Italian Bread. Each sandwich is wrapped in an upscale, preprinted film featuring product image and clear viewing window. Cases contain 12 sandwiches and have a shelf life of 14 days refrigerated, the company stated.
