Pilot to Expand Prepaid Wireless Offerings

DALLAS -- Pilot Oil Co. has entered into a wireless sales distribution agreement with Titan Wireless, a division of Titan Communications, for all its 281 locations, according to a news release from Titan. Pilot is the nation's largest retail operator of travel centers, catering to the professional driver and traveling motorist in 40 states, the company reported.

Titan Wireless, with its brands Ready Mobile, Mojo Mobile, Picante Movil and Bravo, provides prepaid-wireless offerings through its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) agreement with Sprint PCS. The company completed its purchase of the assets of Ready Mobile LLC, a national Sprint MVNO, in May 2007.

"We are thrilled to add Pilot Oil to our growing network of retail locations," Dennis Henderson, president of Titan Wireless, said in a statement. "We continue to offer retailers and customers high-quality, value-priced handsets with access to efficient, prepaid, domestic and international termination rates."

The distribution agreement with Pilot is in line with Titan's high-growth focus on generating revenues from trusted wireless-brand products through a retail distribution system covering more than 60,000 locations, according to the company.

Titan Wireless is a subsidiary of Titan Global Holdings, a diversified holding company that owns or manages more than 100 brands. Its distribution channels reach more than 65,000 retail locations in the U.S. and in more than 200 countries around the world.
