Pilot Flying J Celebrates Driver Appreciation Month

KNOXVILLE, TENN. -- Although National Truck Driver Appreciation Week doesn't start until Sept. 15, Pilot Flying J is showing appreciation to its customers throughout this entire month.

The Knoxville, Tenn.-based travel center and travel plaza operator is offering double MyRewards loyalty points and is also giving away many prizes throughout September. The company will crank up the promotional efforts even more during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week from Sept. 15-21.

"Professional drivers are the foundation of our country, and it has always been our highest priority to help make their life and job run smoothly while on the road," said Pilot Flying J CEO Jimmy Haslam. "We recognize the long hours, tough driving conditions and days away from family are just some of the challenges professional drivers face every day."

The operator of 650 locations emphasized that it always strives to show appreciation for drivers 365 days a year. "While we are designating September to extend our appreciation to professional drivers, it is our ultimate goal to provide them with the best products and services every day of the year," Haslam said.

Pilot Flying J is the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America. Its network provides customers with access to more than 60,000 parking spaces for trucks, more than 4,400 showers and more than 4,000 diesel lanes.
