Pilot Flying J Searching for Road Warriors

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pilot Flying J announced the launch of Road Warrior, a new initiative that celebrates and honors professional drivers throughout North America.

"Road Warriors are drivers who go the extra mile," said Anne LeZotte, Pilot Flying J's communications manager. "We want to recognize the hard work, dedication and determination of professional drivers. This is our way of showing them that we greatly appreciate their efforts and thanking them for all they do for our economy."

Anyone can nominate a Road Warrior from among their coworkers, friends and family members at www.roadwarrior.pilotflyingj.com. Drivers can also nominate themselves.

Pilot Flying J will feature Road Warriors on that same website and on its social media networks. On a daily and weekly basis, Road Warriors will receive prizes such as T-shirts, MyRewards points and an assortment of other items. The grand prize for the ultimate Road Warrior is $10,000.

"Professional drivers transport more than 65 percent of all U.S. freight annually," LeZotte added. "We're excited to recognize and honor these unsung heroes for all they do and the sacrifices they make every day."

Road Warrior nominations will be accepted through Oct. 31, after which finalists will be selected and open voting will begin. Pilot Flying J will announce the ultimate Road Warrior in December.
