Pilot Flying J Trials First Gas Discount Program
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pilot Flying J launched its first gas discount program at its 63 locations in Tennessee.
From Jan. 8 through March 31, the Knoxville, Tenn.-based company is offering special gasoline savings for customers across its home state.
Pilot Flying J's MyRewards loyalty program is available across the United States and Canada and offers discounts on retail and restaurant purchases. However, this trial promotion is the first opportunity for customers to earn discounts on gas, according to the company.

Under the program, every time customers buy a fountain drink or hot beverage from one of the trial locations and swipe their MyRewards card at checkout, they'll earn 3 cents off per gallon of gas at their next fill up. To redeem the discount, customers just swipe their MyRewards card at the gas pump when prompted, and the discount will be automatically deducted.
Discounts will add up with each drink purchase, and customers can redeem up to $1 off each gallon of gas per purchase. All MyRewards Preferred Customer cardholders are eligible, and the discounts are earned at any Pilot Travel Center, Flying J Travel Plaza or Pilot Food Mart in Tennessee. The gas discount can be redeemed at any participating Pilot or Flying J location nationwide.
Customers must have a registered Pilot Flying J "Preferred Customer" MyRewards card to participate. "Preferred Customer" cards are available for motorists purchasing gas, and the discount is available to gas-purchasing customers in Tennessee, the company added.
Eligible drink purchases are any fountain drink including sodas and iced drinks, or any hot beverage from Pilot Flying J's selection of premium coffee, cappuccino and tea. Bottled or canned drinks from the cooler are not eligible. Up to $1 off per gallon of gas will be automatically deducted when customers swipe their card at the pump, depending on the discount they've earned. For customers who earn more than $1 off per gallon, they can use the remaining discount the next time they refuel. Cardholders have until April 30 to redeem their gas discounts.
Pilot Flying J has more than 650 retail locations and is the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America.
