Pilot Travel Centers Signs Agreement with Chester's International

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Pilot Travel Centers LLC signed five individual franchise agreements with Chester's International LLC, formerly Chester Fried, a developer of quick-service restaurant concepts, under the new Chester's brand.

The five new Chester's locations will open in brand-new Pilot Travel Centers in Haubstadt, Ind.; Stanton, Tenn.; Drums, Pa.; Erie, Pa.; and Eloy, Ariz. Each location will be co branded with a Subway.

Ted Giles, president and CEO of Chester's, said that the partnership with Pilot Travel Centers is another example of an existing Chester Fried operator having confidence in Chester's new business model.

"Our friends at Pilot have decided to expand on a formula that works … quality food, fast, friendly service and convenience," said Giles, who noted that Pilot currently operates six Chester Fried locations. "We look forward to a continued success with Chester's and Pilot and to providing customers with a product they have enjoyed for more than 30 years."

Jim Barnes, director of restaurant services, Pilot Travel Centers, said that partnering with Chester's International is a smart business decision that will help make Pilot's newest locations a success. "Chester's new franchise program fits a unique need in the travel-center industry and has been well-received by professional drivers," he said. "We're excited about our continued partnership with Chester's."
