Pine State Trading Acquires Competitor
GARDINER, Maine — Pine State Trading Co. completed its asset purchase agreement with a competitor, wholesale distributor Albert H. Notini & Sons.
Lowell, Mass.-based Notini & Sons was founded in 1890 and remained a family-run company ever since. It carries an expansive product line for convenience stores.
“With over 125 years in the distribution business, four generations of the Notini family have been fortunate to build rewarding relationships with scores of dedicated business people like you,” Notini & Son stated in a notice on its website. “It is now time to transition our business. We are pleased to announce that our business has been sold to Pine State Trading Co. of Gardiner, Maine. Like us, Pine State is a family-owned and –operated business, sharing the same focus on customer satisfaction.”
Keith Canning, a managing partner at Pine State Trading, added Notini & Sons is a great addition to its business.
“We look forward to welcoming current A.H. Notini & Sons customers into the Pine State family,” he said. “With this acquisition, Pine State will enlarge its customer base in Central New England.”
