Planning Officials OK First Nice N Easy Drive-Thru Store
MASSENA, N.Y. -- Consumers in one upstate New York community on the Canadian border will be the first to shop at a drive-thru Nice N Easy convenience store.
The St. Lawrence County Planning Board approved a proposal to build a Nice N Easy convenience store in Massena, N.Y. John P. and Edward J. Valentine, brothers who co-own Valentine Stores, hope to start construction this fall. An official opening date has not yet been set, according to a report by the Watertown Daily Times.
The new 5,895-square-foot franchised convenience store will rise on the site of a former apartment building. The location will include a drive-thru -- Nice N Easy's first -- and offer 12 gas pumps.
Michael V. Almasian, of the Massena Business Development Corp. and the Massena Downtown Coalition, recognized the Valentines for their planned investment and the green space included in their project plans.
