PriceAdvantage Teams With Gilbarco to Synchronize Fuel Price Changes

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- PriceAdvantage today formed a strategic partnership with Gilbarco Inc. to synchronize fuel price changes from the store to the street.

As part of their relationship, the companies will combine Gilbarco's Passport Point of Sale System with the automated pricing capabilities of the PriceAdvantage fuel price management solution.

According to PriceAdvantage, the partnership will accelerate the implementation of fuel price changes from the point of sale to the pump and electronic price signs, resulting in increased profits and reduced human error.

"Passport is designed with a unique open architecture to enable partners such as PriceAdvantage to add value to our customers' operations," said Dan Witkemper, POS Product Manager at Gilbarco. "Passport's use of industry standard interfaces allows our customers to choose 'best in class' integration with partner applications to fulfill their specific business needs."

In related news, PriceAdvantage, a division of Skyline Products, launched PriceAdvantage Express, a hosted fuel price management solution that the company offers many of the key features of PriceAdvantage Enterprise with minimal assistance from a retailers' information technology team.

According to the company, the cloud system allows a retailer to be up and running in 48 hours with minimal training needed to get started. PriceAdvantage allows retailers to access the solution from an Apple iPad or smartphone and therefore gain immediate control over fuel pricing, without needing to call every store to change prices.

"It is a perfect solution for any petroleum retailer that is still sending competitive surveys through e-mail, fax or spreadsheet," said Aaron McHugh, head of the PriceAdvantage division. "PriceAdvantage Express is the fuel price management solution that will meet the retailers' needs to simplify operations as well as to reduce implementation timeframes, capital expenditures and upfront investments."
