Quality Oil Expands Play at the Pump Lottery
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Quality Oil Co. is now offering lottery services at its fuel-and-go kiosks throughout North Carolina.
Via a partnership with Linq3, some fuel kiosks cannot support many lottery technologies, such as lottery vending machines, due to limited real estate. But Linq3’s Play at the Pump product allows the Winston-Salem based company to overcome this problem.
“After a successful soft launch of Play at the Pump in Q3, we were eager to expand the solution to both our kiosks and full-service stores throughout the state. Not only does the technology provide an additional revenue stream, it also integrates with our Verifone Commander point-of-sale solution, allowing us to further leverage our investment with Verifone,” said Graham Bennett, Quality Oil president. “Now our customers have the convenience of playing draw lottery games as they fuel up, while we gain a chance to engage with those 65 to 70 percent of consumers who fuel-and-go.”
In addition to Verifone, Play at the Pump also plans to incorporate Gilbarco Veeder-Root’s forecourt point-of-sale technologies and NCR Corp.’s RPOS by the end of 2016.
“Day by day, we’re working to help lotteries reach more players and retailers realize more revenue,” said Daniel Cage, Linq3 president and founder. “Forward-thinking partners such as Quality Oil and Verifone help make that vision a reality. Together we’re helping retailers install innovative technologies to better engage with their customers.”
In addition to operate kiosks, convenience stores and gas stations, Quality Oil Co. LLC, founded in 1929, offers services in heating and air conditioner repair and installation.
