Quick Chek Sr. VP Raises $14,000 for Charity
WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- Quick Chek's Senior Vice President Mike Murphy recently returned from his trip to Whitefish, Mont., where he not only completed his 100-mile cycling ride to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) "Ride to Cure Diabetes," but with a final tally of $14,000.
"The experience of getting ready and training for the ride has been both challenging and rewarding, but not as rewarding as the support I’ve received along the way and I thank everyone for their generous pledges," said Murphy, who began training for the 100-mile journey in April. "Each dollar raised for the JDRF makes a real difference in the lives of countless individuals living with diabetes."
Murphy is the state of New Jersey’s top fundraiser for JDRF; he serves as an active organization board member and president of its Mid-Jersey Chapter for the past three years.
