QuickChek Gets Best Workplace Nods from N.J. & N.Y.

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. — QuickChek Corp. has been named one of the "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" and one of the "Best Companies to Work for in New York State."

The "Best Places to Work" and "Best Companies to Work For" lists recognize each state's top employers who show a dedication to their employees' growth and quality of life. Employees are surveyed as part of the awards programs which are designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment whose practices benefit each state's businesses, economy, and workforce. Survey components include employee satisfaction and engagement.

This marks the seventh time in the past eight years that the convenience store chain has been named to the New Jersey list, compiled by weekly business journal NJBIZ, and the fifth year in a row it has been named to the New York list, compiled by the New York State Society for Human Resources Management and Best Companies Group, an independent firm managing "Best Places to Work" programs throughout the United States.

"We are committed to being a great place to work, a great place to shop, and a great place to invest," stated QuickChek CEO Dean Durling. "We strive to create a positive experience and environment where core values are nurtured, hard work is rewarded and leadership is cultivated. As our team members have input into this selection, this recognition confirms we remain on the right track."

QuickChek will receive its "Best Company to Work for" in New York award on April 19 at the Hilton Albany in Albany, N.Y., and its "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" award on April 26 at a ceremony at the iPlay America's Event Center in Freehold, N.J.

"We empower our team members to be successful," Durling said. "When you come into any of our stores, the store leader manages that store as if it is their own. This helps them connect with our customers on a personal level, to create that neighborhood shopping experience, and provide the outstanding customer service for which we are known."

Privately held QuickChek operates 147 convenience stores throughout New Jersey, New York's Hudson Valley and Long Island.
