QuickChek Supercharges N.Y. Store for Electric Vehicles

ULSTER, N.Y. — QuickChek Corp. opened a Tesla Supercharger station at its 6,584-square-foot convenience store location here.

According to Whitehouse Station, N.J.-based QuickChek, the installation features the world's fastest electric vehicle charging technology, which provides up to 120 kilowatts of power and replenishing of up to 170 miles in range in as little as 30 minutes.

The convenience store retailer added the Tesla Supercharger station is a natural fit for electric vehicle motorists in the Catskills and Albany area. It is open 24 hours and located at 640 Washington Ave., just off exit 19 on the New York State Thruway.

"We are pleased to provide Tesla owners traveling along the Thruway with the opportunity to enjoy a great cup of coffee, a bite to eat, and the chance to pick up market items while their vehicle charges," said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling. "Having Tesla Supercharger stations on site enables us to continue our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of our customers in the area."

Tesla Motors is the manufacturer of the Model S sedan and Model X sports utility vehicle.

QuickChek Corp. operates 145 convenience stores throughout New York's Hudson Valley, New Jersey and Long Island.
