QuikTrip Hires PR Firm to Help With National Branding
TULSA, Okla. – QuikTrip Corp. hired Parris Communications Inc. to help it develop a stronger national brand identity as it continues expanding into new markets. According to a Tulsa World report, the Kansas City, Mo.-based public relations firm will handle all media and market relations for the convenience store chain.
"This is the first time they have engaged a public relations firm," said Parris Managing Director Laurie Roberts. "We will be helping them in all of their markets and all of the communities where they have stores."
QuikTrip is in the process of expanding beyond its bases in Tulsa and Kansas City to Atlanta, South Carolina and other new markets farther from its headquarters.
"Parris is a good fit with our company culture," QuikTrip Director of Sales and Marketing Chuck Barton said in a statement. "We look forward to working with them, helping us build a stronger brand presence in all of our communities."
QuikTrip is also focusing more on its fresh food offer, the company said. Its third-generation stores feature full-service counters that offer hot and cold specialty beverages, sandwiches and flatbreads, pizza and more.
"We continue to build more stores and remodel existing stores to accommodate our focus on the fresh food offer, which will complement our current offer and products," said QuikTrip spokesman Mike Thornbrugh.
Tulsa, Okla.-based QuikTrip Corp. operates more than 650 c-stores.
