TULSA, Okla. — QuikTrip Corp. is ranked No. 49 on the 2018 list of 50 Companies That Care by People magazine and Great Places to Work.
The annual list honors companies whose actions show caring for their communities, employees and the world, according to the program.
The convenience store chain was commended for its policy of promoting from within for all store operations jobs and providing growth opportunities for every role.
QuikTrip was also commended for caring for employees and their lives even when they are off the clock.
"The company is unique because they are so understanding if you need time off at any time," said one employee.
QuikTrip operates more than 700 c-stores across 11 states.
Other companies named to the list are Mars Inc. at No. 41, which has partnered with Training and Funding Farmers to train approximately 169 women in a modified farming approach, as well as provided micro-grants ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 to 540 women in 27 communities in other countries.
Mars also offers the Mars Ambassador Program, which allows employees to travel internationally assisting partner charity organizations with projects such as coral reef preservation and sustainable techniques.
Chobani ranked No. 39 for its volunteer efforts to make food more available to young people and underserved communities.
