RaceTrac Stores Begin Offering E15 Fuel

ATLANTA — RaceTrac will expand its fuel offering this year with the debut of E15 fuel at its convenience stores throughout the South. The chain will add E15 later this year and ultimately offer it at more than 100 locations.

The 88-octane fuel is a combination of 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent gasoline.

"RaceTrac's mission is to make people's lives simpler and more enjoyable and offering a variety of fuel types to appeal to our guests' needs is one of the ways we deliver on that mission," said Max McBrayer, chief supply officer at RaceTrac. "With the debut of E15 in more than 100 of our stores, RaceTrac is proud to provide our guests a competitively priced alternative fuel option to complement our already diverse offering which today includes other alternative fuel products such as E85 flex-fuel."

Consumers can visit www.RaceTrac.com over the next few months to find a RaceTrac store near them that offers E15 and other alternative fuels, such as E85 for flex-fuel vehicles.

E15 is approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for cars manufactured in the year 2001 and newer.

Atlanta-based RaceTrac operates more than 400 c-stores in Georgia, Florida, Louisiana and Texas.
