Red Apple Ups Technology Commitment
AUSTIN, Texas -- Red Apple Markets, operator of 42 stores in North Carolina and Virginia, reached a deal to partner with Wincor Nixdorf Inc. and Pinnacle Corp. for its point-of-sale software solutions.
Red Apple Markets, a division of Beasley Enterprises, Inc., is deploying Wincor's BEETLE/iPOS POS systems at two of its locations. The systems will run Pinnacle's Palm software, a Windows-based POS system utilizing touch screen technology designed for the convenience store and petroleum industries.
The BEETLE/iPOS is a high-performance POS appliance with the CPU, power supply, and other components mounted directly behind the flat panel display. It is designed to be compact and splashproof to accommodate convenience store and petroleum retail environments, where space is at a premium.
"The BEETLE/iPOS is a perfect fit for our future POS requirements because of its ability to interface with other Pinnacle software products," said Adam Coleman, director of retail operations for Red Apple Markets. "We look at this as a natural forward progression to our corporate technology upgrade."
