Retail Gas Prices Up 14 Cents in Three Weeks
NEW YORK -- The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the U.S. is up 14 cents over a three-week period to $2.74, according to the national Lundberg Survey of fuel prices, which was cited in an Associated Press report.
The average price for a gallon of mid-grade gas was $2.86, while premium was at $2.97, said Analyst Trilby Lundberg.
Cheyenne, Wyo., was home to the lowest average gas price among cities surveyed at $2.36 a gallon for regular gas. Anchorage had the highest-priced gas at $3.28, the AP reported.
