Ricker Oil Selects KSS for Fuel Price Management
ANDERSON, Ind. -- Ricker Oil Co. Inc., operator of 30 convenience stores under the Ricker's banner, selected pricing and optimization firm KSS' PriceNet Mobile system, which enhances the chain existing PriceNet fuel pricing solution by allowing fuel price changes to be made at any time via mobile devices, KSS stated.
The Mobile system will be implemented at all Ricker's locations.
"PriceNet Mobile gives me the tools and ability to make pricing decisions from my Blackberry," Dennis Williamson, general manager of Ricker Oil, said in a statement. "This addition to our existing pricing system enables me to respond faster, especially on weekends and while out of the office."
Using the system, retailers can enter competitor prices and receive new price proposals directly on mobile devices for approval and implementation, the company stated. PriceNet Mobile also generates key performance measures and displays exception-based alerts for such instances as volume running rates, margins below targets and no competitor surveys.
"Our launch of PriceNet Mobile captured the attention of numerous industry executives at the [NACS] trade show, many of whom said they sought a mobile approach to price management and optimization," Bob Stein, CEO of KSS, said in a statement. "Of course, we are thrilled that Ricker Oil is expanding its usage of KSS PriceNet with PriceNet Mobile."
