Road Ranger Rebrands Six QuikTrip Stores
ROCKFORD, Ill. -- Road Ranger, operator of 50 locations in the Midwest, began the transition of six QuikTrip stores in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, purchased last year to its proprietary brand of fuel and convenience stores, The Gazette reported.
The conversion began last week and will take about two and a half weeks to complete, Kyle Beilke, construction superintendent for Rockford, Ill.-based Road Ranger told the paper.
QuikTrip decided to sell the convenience stores last year to reflect its new company strategy of exclusively focusing on large urban markets, the newspaper reported. Road Ranger's arrival in the marketplace is the second for the channel in less than six months. HandiMart sold 33 of its area stores to Casey's General last year, and are currently being rebranded to the Casey's General banner, the report stated.
Road Ranger also operates a truck stop in Elk Run Heights, Iowa, the report stated.
