Royal Buying Group Golf Outing Supports Education
LISLE, Ill. -- The eighth annual Royal Buying Group Golf Outing will be held at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club at 1 Pete Dye Drive in Lemont, Ill., on Sept. 4, 2008, the company announced.
Director of Human Resources Kimberly Jaskier told CSNews Online that this year's golf event will support the Royal Buying Group Inc. Education Scholarship Program.
"In order to give back something to the convenience store industry and to help nurture future leaders, Royal Buying Group, Inc. will award educational scholarships to family and or employees of our membership," said Jaskier.
Since its inception seven years ago, fourteen students have benefited from the program. "The members feel this is a great benefit and every year we receive more entries into the scholarship contest," Jaskier told CSNews Online.
The Royal Buying Group Golf Outing has become an anticipated event, explained Jaskier. "The numbers of members that participate have continued to grow and in 2007 we had 30retailers register for the event. Every year our supplier support and participations grows," she told CSNews Online. "Everyone who attends loves the location. The food is excellent and everyone loves the great goodie bags we give out every year."
