Rutter's Farm Stores Hands Out More Than 900 Prizes in June

YORK, Pa. -- More than 900 people won prizes in June through Rutter's Farm Stores' Register, Scan and Win contest. To enter, customers simply need to scan their registered Rutter's Rewards card when making a purchase at one of the chain's locations.

"Customers who register their rewards card provide us with valuable information about buying habits and demographics, but it also allows us to show appreciation to our loyal customers," said Jeffrey Leedy, chief customer officer at Rutter's Farm Stores.

One such loyal customer was Joshua Welty, of Red Lion, Pa., who won a free month of gas, which he is using to commute to college daily.

Among the other prizes awarded for June were car washes, F'Real milkshakes, cups of coffee and the grand prize, a 47-inch, flat-screen television.

Rutter's began its loyalty program in October 2009. According to the company, the Rutter's Rewards program has helped customers across central Pennsylvania earn cents-off-per gallon on more than 13 million gallons of fuel.
