Rutter's Selects Radiant Point-of-Sale

ATLANTA -- Rutter's Farm Stores will use Radiant Systems Inc.’s Point-of-Sale (POS) in all 50 of its Pennsylvania convenience stores, including 36 stores that will also deploy the Radiant Customer Self-Service (CSS) solution.

"We chose Radiant not only because of the breadth of their technology offering but also because of their commitment to industry standards," said Scott Hartman, CEO of Rutter's Farm Stores, which offers made-to-order sandwiches and other fresh food in many of its stores. "We wanted a supplier who is equally strong in fuel, convenience and foodservice."

The Radiant solution, including Radiant's POS software, CSS software, kitchen production system, P1550 hardware terminals and Tiger fuel controllers, will integrate to the PDI-RMS back office utilizing the PCATS-NAXML interface, continuing Radiant's leadership in deploying this industry standard. The interface will enable both foodservice and convenience store businesses to be managed from a single back-office application.

"Innovative retailers like Rutter's are focused on providing their customers with the best possible experience," said Mark Schoen, president of the Radiant global petroleum and convenience retail division. "The Radiant solution will help ensure that the Rutter's customer has a shopping experience that is convenient, accurate and fast, whether they are at the dispenser, buying convenience goods or enjoying a made-to-order sandwich."
