S. Abraham & Sons Celebrates America at Trade Show
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The 2013 S. Abraham & Sons (SAS) Vendor Exhibit and Trade Show is not waiting for the Fourth of July to show off its patriotism. Instead, this year's event is showing its red, white and blue with the theme "Celebrate America -- SAS Salutes the Stars and Stripes."
The 27th annual show kicked off today at DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Mich. It features 150 booths representing 214 manufacturers; 13 suppliers representing new lines for SAS; and approximately 1,500 stores representing buyers. The two-day show concludes at 3 p.m. tomorrow.
Taking the "Celebrate America" theme to another level, the SAS Merchandising area features an all-wooden barn to serve as the "general store," complete with split-wooden fence. Featured programs include Fast Fixin, Alligator Ice and Alligator Ice Cream, Beantown, f'real, Hot Off the Grill, and Blue Bunny Ice Cream.
Celebrating America carries through to the event's opening night entertainment theme: Life, Liberty, and American Bandstand. The evening will feature an all-American buffet and the Simone Vitale Band. The Detroit-area band has played inauguration events for former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, and Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
In addition to the exhibits and evening entertainment, attendees at the 2013 SAS Vendor Exhibit and Trade Show have the chance to win a 2013 Chevy Cruz, based on qualifying purchases. SAS is also awarding two trips to Kauai, Hawaii, as part of their Awesome Achiever Marketing Incentive Program.
