Sam's Club, Gatorade Partner on Free Offer for Indy C-stores

BENTONVILLE, Ark. -- As part of Sam’s Club "100 Days of Summer" commitment to help independent c-store owners make a profit, Gatorade is providing free equipment with purchases that will allow operators to organize products into a secondary product display, serving as an attractive attention-grabber for customers.

Through May 1, 2010, convenience store owners who buy 10 to 30 cases of Gatorade at any Sam’s Club store have the opportunity to receive free beverage storage equipment:

-- Buy any 30 cases of Gatorade, receive a free ice barrel or five-tier rack.
-- Buy any 25 cases, receive a case stacker.
-- Buy any 10 cases, receive an Ultratrackers for 20-ounce/24-ounce (set of 2), or an Ultratracker for 32-ounce (set of 2).

Additionally, a packet of static clings will be included with any redemption. To receive this free equipment or any of the other Sam’s Club offers, convenience store owners must complete a mail-in certificate found online at samsclub.com/cstore.

On this same Web site, c-store owners also can check out planograms for improvements in shelving or new store layouts, all designed to increase sales, as well as additional merchandising offers from Kellogg’s and Chapstick, Sam’s Club reported.
