Selloff Underway for In & Out Stores
TOLEDO, Ohio — In & Out Mart Inc. sold 11 of its 17 convenience stores to Stop & Go, the Toledo Blade reported. Terms of the deal — completed Wednesday — were not disclosed.
In & Out will sell its remaining six c-stores to other buyers as soon as possible, the news outlet noted.
The In & Out stores sold to Stop & Go will retain their name. Current employees are expected to be retained as well.
Toledo-based In & Out Mart Inc. grew out of a local dairy and has been owned by the Files family since the 1920s. Sandra Esser serves as the company's CEO.
Also based in Toledo, Stop & Go operated 37 convenience stores prior to this transaction. The company is owned by the Ridi family. In addition to offering traditional c-store items, Stop & Go offers cell phones, check cashing and tax preparation services.
