Sheetz Carrier Recognized for Safety
CLI Transport LLP, the petroleum transport carrier for Sheetz Inc., has been recognized for its emphasis on safety.
CLI received a first place safety award for having the best safety record in the six million-mile tank truck class in the state from the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association. The award was based on the state's Department of Transportation recordable accident rate.
CLI also received a second year Safety Improvement Award from the National Tank Truck Carriers Association for maintaining a continuous record of improved safety in the operation of tank motor vehicles during the year 2000.
"What makes these awards so special is the fact that our drivers and management team expect nothing less than an outstanding safety record," said CLI President Buddy Casado.
CLI Transport operates 65 units out of five terminals located in the Virginia cities of Fairfax and Roanoke, as well as in the Pennsylvania cities of Altoona, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, and four satellite locations. The company, founded in 1993, employs 178 drivers, 22 support staff, and operates in five states.
