Sheetz Enters Schuylkill Haven, Pa.
ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc., operator of more than 340 convenience stores headquartered here, opened a new location yesterday in Schuylkill Haven, Pa., marking the chain's 197th store in the state, and expanded the chain to 347 locations, the company stated.
A grand opening ceremony was held yesterday, where the company also made a donation to the Blue Mountain School District to purchase Smartboards and other electronic learning equipment for its Interactive Learning though Technology program, according to the company.
"We are thrilled to join the Schuylkill Haven community and be a part of the events that are important to them," Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing for Sheetz, said in a statement. "Sheetz has a long tradition of being involved in youth-centered activities so today we are happy to make a commitment to support educational and athletic programs for the children of Schuylkill Haven."
The new store in Schuylkill Haven features made-to-order cold and toasted subs, a variety of salads, along with french fries, onion rings, chicken fingers, burgers and more, the company stated.
The store will also feature its full-service Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, an espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista, according to the company. There, customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas in a variety of ways -- hot, frozen or iced. Frozen fruit smoothies are also available at the Sheetz Bros. Coffeez bar.
For on-the-go customers, the store offers premium brewed self-serve coffees made from 100 percent Arabica beans in a variety of flavors such as Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100 percent Colombian and Hazelnut.
Like all other Sheetz stores, the new location features touch-screen order kiosks where customers place their food and beverage orders. In addition, a surcharge-free ATM and a variety of retailer gift and phone cards are available for the convenience of its customers, the company stated.
