Sheetz Opens in Rocky Mount, N.C.
ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz doubled its presence in Rocky Mount, N.C., last week when it opened a store at 3715 North Wesleyan Boulevard.
"North Carolina is still emerging for us and people there are getting excited about visiting our stores," Stan Sheetz, president and CEO, Sheetz Inc., said in a statement. "We have developed fun, new ways to show our devotion to our customers. We think we've struck a chord with our food and beverages and a loyalty program that have people coming back for more every day."
The new store, the second in the town, will offer Sheetz' iconic fresh food items such as the MTGo! and Shweetz Bakery lines of sandwiches, wraps, doughnuts and muffins, along with the signature MTO line of Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly made salads, French fries, onion rings and more.
The store also offers Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista. There, customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas, either hot, frozen or iced.
To mark the opening, Sheetz made a donation to Special Olympics North Carolina, as part of the store opening celebration held Sept. 2. Sheetz has supported the Special Olympics since 1992, making both monetary and product contributions, as well as providing event volunteers.
Overall, Sheetz operates more than 360 convenience locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina.
