Sheetz Recognized for Highest Trucking Safety Honor

ALTOONA, Pa.-- Sheetz Inc.’s fuel and grocery carrier, CLI Transport, was honored with the 2008 American Trucking Association (ATA) President’s Trophy.

The award, which recognizes carriers with the most comprehensive safety programs, was presented at the ATA Safety and Loss Prevention Management Council’s National Conference, which as held in Nashville. The council presents three awards each year in the following three categories: under 25 million miles, 25-100 million miles and more than 100 million miles.

"Safety is the top priority of every driver at CLI," Buddy Casado, president, CLI Transport, said in a statement. "To receive this highest of honors is a wonderful achievement for our entire team."

CLI employs more than 300 drivers that distribute petroleum and food products to 350 Sheetz locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina.
