Snickers Offering Cash for Gas to Road Trippers

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- The Snickers brand will give away $20,000 worth of prepaid debit cards on Thursday, with one catch. Consumers must pick up the debit cards at two of the most remote, hard-to-reach gas stations in the United States as part of the Snickers Brand Fuel Game.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. -- or until supplies last -- Snickers will distribute $50 prepaid debit cards to the first 200 visitors, which can redeemed on-site immediately at one of the two gas stations, or used elsewhere. To claim the prize, consumers must visit either Najah's Desert Oasis, located along a desolate stretch of historic Route 66 in Essex, Calif., or Cowboy Corner, an Interior, S.D., gas station that is one of the few located en route to Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower and Black Hills.

The Snickers Brand Fuel Game is limited to one prepaid debit card per eligible individual with a vehicle on-site. This special offer is good for legal residents of the U.S., aged 18 and older, with a valid driver's license.

Although the event is limited to one day, Snickers will have several other promotions throughout the summer. Specially marked Snickers bars offering the chance to play the Snickers Brand Fuel Game are currently available at convenience stores, gas stations and other retailers, and give consumers a chance to win cash for gas or one of thousands of coupons redeemable for a free Snickers bar.

Snickers is a division of Hackettstown-based Mars Chocolate North America.
