Spinx Expands With Greenville Acquisitions

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Spinx Co. acquired three Pumper's convenience stores, located in the upstate South Carolina area. The move grows the retailer's footprint in Greenville, its hometown.

Spinx began operating the Mauldin North Main Street location on Jan. 23, the Greenville North Pleasantburg location on March 5 and the Greenville Haywood Road location on March 6. The c-stores will remain under the Pumper's brand for the next two to three months. However, each location is issuing and redeeming Spinx Xtras loyalty rewards.

The Spinx Xtras loyalty program offers gasoline discounts to customers for every $25 spent inside the store, as well as for gasoline purchases when the card is used for payment.

"These three stores are great additions to The Spinx Co.'s operations and we're excited to make them a part of our continued growth. These stores are located in great areas and allow us to fill in our core market footprint," said Steve Spinks, president and CEO of The Spinx Co.

With this acquisition, Spinx now owns and operates 69 convenience stores in North and South Carolina.
