SSA Tops National List for Customer Service

ENON, Ohio -- Speedway SuperAmerica (SSA) was awarded the top spot for customer service in the convenience store category, by Corporate Research Intl.'s national RealPeopleRatings.com survey, the Dayton Business Journal reported.

In the first quarter results, SSA beat out Chevron/Texaco, BP and Shell in the ranking, the report stated. More than 2,250 panelists participated in the first quarter survey, scoring SSA's customer service as 7.2 on a 10-point scale, according to Corporate Research Intl. Chevron/Texaco had a score of 7.03, followed by BP and Shell with 6.99, the report stated.

Respondents were asked to rate their perception of each business' customer service on a scale of one to 10. If a respondent did not have experience with the business, the panelist did not enter a score, according to the report.

"The RealPeopleRatings.com scores give companies another tool to understand how their customers view their business," Michael Mallett, chief executive officer of Corporate Research Intl., said in a news release cited by the newspaper. "This contributes to a comprehensive understanding of the client and enables the business owners to make adjustments as needed. Looking at the customer experience from all angles is crucial and keeps customers coming back."
