SSP Gets the Point
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- SSP Partners, the Corpus Christi-based operator of 335 convenience stores, will partner with Louisville, Ky.-based TelaPoint Inc. to manage fuel replenishment with its TelaFuel Internet software.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the agreement, SSP will use the TelaFuel browser-based application suite to improve management of fuel replenishment operations at company-operated stores in Texas and Oklahoma.
TelaFuel allows the company to electronically collect and process fuel replenishment information from retail locations and share it with preferred fuel carriers to better manage petroleum inventories and supply logistics.
"Our decision to implement TelaPoint's Internet supply chain solution positions us well to meet the challenges of today's dynamic gasoline market and significantly enhances our ability to reduce administrative costs in our fuel operation," Rob Darville, vice president of the SSP Partners' commercial fuels division, said in a release. "TelaFuel will help us optimize fuel inventory costs and streamline petroleum supply transactions with our transportation partners."
