Statoil CEO Added to Speaker Lineup for London Conference
LONDON -- Jacob Schram, CEO of Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA has been added to an already impressive speaker line-up for this year's Future of Convenience 2012 Conference, produced by Insight and NACS.
In addition to the conference and exhibition being held Sept. 26 and 27 at the British Library in London, this year's international store tours will take place in Scandinavia, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Featured stops will be Statoil's new highway format in Norway, two of the U.K.'s newest and most innovative convenience store designs -- Morrison's M-Local and the new "mini" Marks and Spencer "Food on the Move" standalone foodservice store -- and Applegreen and Topaz sites in Ireland.
Other speakers at the conference include Tim Chalk, CEO of 7-Eleven Hong Kong, Keith Wright, head of convenience and petrol forecourt stores at Morrison's, Joe Barrett, director, Applegreen, and Deborah Robinson, managing director, SPAR UK.
The conference will also feature a director from Tesco's Supply Chain Team providing a case study on improving availability at Tesco Express, a pre-recorded interview from Dublin with QuikTrip CEO Chat Cadieux about the relevance of innovations in the U.K./Irish markets for the U.S. convenience store industry, reviews of entries in the Insight NACS International Retailer of the Year awards program, and presentation of the Insight NACS International Convenience Retailer of 2012.
