Sunoco Continues Expansion Into Western New York

PHILADELPHIA -- Sunoco Inc. has purchased a West Seneca, N.Y., convenience store and gas station, marking further expansion into the western half of the state, according to Buffalo Business First. The company paid $500,000 for the combination Mobil/Mobil on the Run location at 1445 Union Rd.

The acquisition is one of the 25 locations Sunoco had agreed to purchase from Bethlehem, Pa.-based Lehigh Gas Corp. last December, as CSNews Online previously reported.

"The acquisition of these 25 sites shows we are making progress in growing our retail fuels and convenience business," said Lynn L. Elsenhans, Sunoco's chairman and CEO. "We believe our brand- and logistics-led strategy will continue to generate value for shareholders."
