Sunoco, Godwin Pumps Support Operation Santa Claus

BRIDGEPORT, N.J. -- Godwin Pumps teamed up again this year with Sunoco Philadelphia to participate in Operation Santa Claus, a gift drive organized by the Office for Youth and Young Adults of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the companies reported. The drive is non-sectarian and finds information on those receiving gifts through various local community organizations.

"For many of these kids, the gifts they receive from Operation Santa Claus are the only ones they'll have on Christmas morning," said Chuck Heintz, Godwin's northeast sales manager, who learned of Operation Santa Claus through Sunoco Oil Refinery's Equipment Coordinator John Farrington, who has collected toys for the campaign for more than 20 years.

Last year, thanks to Godwin's employees and those at Sunoco, the project observed the milestone of more than 9,000 items distributed, the companies reported.

"This drive is important because it reaches out to those that wouldn't otherwise be able to celebrate the holiday season," said Godwin President John M. Paz. "This has been a very difficult year, for some more than others. We're fortunate that our Great People were able to continue to make donations to help this great cause."
