GREENSBORO, N. C. -- Sunshine Gasoline Distributors Inc. of Doral, Fla., is rolling out Gilbarco Encore S dispensers, Passport point-of-sale (POS) systems and Veeder-Root TLS-450 tank gauges at 100 sites, the company reported.
"We chose Gilbarco Veeder-Root because they are in a unique position to provide turnkey solutions at the forecourt, in-store POS and underground fuel management," Luis Lago, vice president of operations for Sunshine Gasoline Distributors, said in a released statement. "State-of-the-art equipment like the TLS-450 allows us to be more efficient and grow our business. We have been purchasing Gilbarco equipment for 20 years and have experienced outstanding local support from Glasgow Equipment Service."
Sunshine Gasoline supplies more than 360 locations in South Florida, of which 150 stations are operated directly by Sunshine Gasoline brands include BP, Shell, Chevron, Texaco and CITGO. The company was founded in 1987 by Max Alvarez and is known for its innovative loyalty programs.
