Susser Holdings Expects Q3 Sales Increase

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Susser Holdings Corp., operator of the Stripes convenience store chain, said it expects to report same-store merchandise sales growth of 7.4 percent for its fiscal third quarter, compared to the same period a year ago. Susser also said it expects average per-store fuel volumes to increase by 5.6 percent for the quarter, compared to 2010.

For the first three quarters of its fiscal 2011 year combined, Susser anticipates same-store merchandise sales growth of 6.3 percent and average per-store fuel volume growth of 4.1 percent vs. the same period in 2010.

Susser will release its full third-quarter 2011 financial results before the stock market opens on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Susser trades on the NASDAQ market under the symbol SUSS.

Susser Holdings Corp. owns or contracts about 1,100 locations. That includes more than 535 Stripes convenience stores located in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
