Tedeschi Food Shops Hires Director of Fresh Foods

ROCKLAND, Mass. -- Tedeschi Food Shops Inc. hired Bob Goodwin as its director of fresh foods. In this role, Goodwin will be in charge of all Tedeschi's foodservice, including TD's Deli, fresh meat and poultry, freshly baked goods, the commissary, produce and flowers, and hot and cold dispensed beverages.

"As we continue to grow our fresh food product lines, Bob will undoubtedly play an instrumental role in introducing innovative ideas, finding creative solutions and positioning Tedeschi Food Shops as an industry leader in foodservice," said Joe Hamza, vice president of sales and marketing.

Goodwin's education includes a B.S. in management from Suffolk University and completion of Cornell University's food executive program. His career in the supermarket industry spans 42 years and began at Star Market, later acquired by Shaw's Supermarkets, where he held positions such as director of store operations, vice president and general manager of wild harvest and vice president of merchandising support center store. His most recent title was director of perishables.

Tedeschi Food Shops is a family owned chain of c-stores that operates 190 locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
