Tedeschi Food Shops Launches New Web site

ROCKLAND, Mass. -- Tedeschi Food Shops launched its new corporate Web site, a multi-faceted endeavor that provides customers with an abundance of information regarding the convenience store chain's fresh food, most popular products, store locations, and unique attributes and special events, the company reported.

The new Web site includes a search by service or offering option and customized store Web pages, and the design, site organization and messaging strategy will clearly convey Tedeschi's extensive core offering of quality fresh foods, beverages, and private-label product offering, according to the company.

Additionally, the Web site not only offers details of current products and events, but also provides an introspective look at the history of the company. Looking forward, Tedeschi Food Shops will continue to leverage technology to maintain communication with customers and business partners, increase fresh and healthy food offerings, and perpetuate a commercial culture of service and innovation.

In other Tedeschi news, the company is welcoming several new executives to its leadership team. Senior Vice President of Human Resources Allen Reardon will be retiring at the end of August and will be replaced by Greg Donoghue, who will be promoted from general counsel. Allen joined Angelo's Supermarket 34 years ago as the personnel manager, and was promoted in 1986 to vice president of human resources at Tedeschi Food Shops.

"Allen will be greatly missed by all that were fortunate enough to have worked with him, but his contributions to our company and employees will benefit us for many years to come," Peter Tedeschi, the company's president and CEO, said in a released statement.

Also, Glenn Leger joined Tedeschi Food Shops, replacing Greg Donoghue as its general counsel, and Douglas New joined the company as its first chief information officer. The creation of this new position is a direct reflection of the company's continuing commitment to leveraging technology for competitive advantage and corporate agility, the company stated. Prior to joining Tedeschi's Doug worked at Putnam Investments for 11 years in multiple roles related to technology engineering and operations, most recently as senior vice president and director of site operations.

Lastly, the company added two more stores to its remodel list, bringing the total of remodels in 2010 to 12. These newly remodeled stores now offer sandwiches, wraps, and freshly made salads, as well as fresh produce and healthy snack offerings.
