Terrible Herbst Acquires Three Hotel-Casinos
LAS VEGAS -- Herbst Gaming Inc., a division of The Herbst Corp., and sister company to the Terrible Herbst 125-store convenience chain, completed the previously announced acquisition of the Buffalo Bill's, Primm Valley and Whiskey Pete's hotel-casinos from MGM Mirage for $400 million.
The three facilities are collectively known as Primm Valley Resorts and are located about 40 miles south of Las Vegas. Along with the hotel-casinos, the acquisition also included three gas stations and a convenience store.

We look forward to continuing and building upon the legacy started at these properties by the Primm family," said Ed Herbst, president of Herbst Gaming. "We believe that the Buffalo Bill's, Primm Valley and Whiskey Pete's assets and their customer base fit extremely well with our existing eight-casino portfolio and that the 'Terrible's' brand will bring added excitement to the I-15 corridor."
