Thermo-Serv and Betras Plastics Join Forces
Thermo-Serv Ltd., a designer and manufacturer of upscale retail and imprinted beverageware, announced an agreement has been reached to combine ThermoServ and Betras Plastics. Under the transaction, which closed April 19, Betras will be closing its Spartanburg, S.C. facility and moving the production to the Thermo-Serv facility in Dallas. The new organization will be known as Thermo-Serv/Betras.
For more than 20 years, Betras Plastics has produced many of America’s most popular single wall and insulated beverageware products and since 1952, Thermo-Serv’s goal has been to provide customers with beverageware of exceptional quality, design and value.
With the combined strengths of both businesses, Nathan Long, president of Thermo-Serv, said “our customers will enjoy the widest range of licensed drinkware products and new designs available in the United States.”
The product additions mark an expansion of Thermo-Serv’s growing insulated and single wall drinkware line, which will now cover the full spectrum from economy to specialty drinkware. The Thermo-Serv/Betras drinkware lines together will create a dominant force in the retail and convenience store markets, Long said.
