Topaz Takes Honors Among Great Places to Work in Ireland

DUBLIN, Ireland — Topaz Energy Group Ltd. has found itself on the list of Best Large Workplaces in Ireland for the 11th consecutive year.

Best Workplaces in Ireland published three lists in 2016: the Best Large Workplaces in Ireland, the Best Medium Workplaces in Ireland and the Best Small Workplaces in Ireland. Rankings are not derived from an outside judge, but instead by each company’s employee base.

Topaz — which was acquired by Laval, Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. at the beginning of the month as CSNews Online previously reported — was the only fuels and convenience retailer on the list, claiming 11th place, according to PetroPlaza.com.

The company was presented with its award at the Great Places to Work Awards in Dublin on Feb. 24. Additionally, Paul Candon, group corporate services director at Topaz, received the Great Place to Work Ambassador Award 2016.

“The key to our business is enhancing the customer experience and that is driven by our culture of innovation, by investing in the business, but most importantly by the professionalism and the enthusiasm of our employees,” he said. “We would like to thank all our 2,000 employees for their contribution in once again making Topaz a Great Place to Work. Awards like this are a vote of confidence in the way we do business.”

Great Place to Work Ireland is part of a global network with offices in 48 countries using the same assessment methodology to publish 45 country lists. According to the company, the key defining feature of a great workplace is the level of trust that exists within it.
