Town & Country Acquires Shelton Oil
SAN ANGELO, Texas -- Town & Country Food Stores, headquartered here, finalized an agreement with Shelton Oil Co. to acquire the company. Details of the arrangement have remained confidential since the announcement on Friday.
"We are honored to welcome the Shelton employees to the Town & Country family," said Lloyd Norris, chairman of the board for Town & Country. "We have admired the Shelton organization for many years, and we are very pleased that we have finalized a mutually beneficial agreement."
Shelton Oil operates bulk fuel plants, a liquid petroleum gas business and a convenience chain under the Shot's convenience store banner.
Town & Country Food Stores operates 159 convenience stores in West Texas and New Mexico, along with seven supermarkets in West Texas.
