TravelCenters Adds 19 Stores to Minit Mart Banner
WESTLAKE, Ohio — TravelCenters of America LLC's newly closed acquisition will add 19 convenience store/gas station locations to the Minit Mart banner.
The $27-million deal includes three locations in Kansas and 16 in Missouri. The stores average 3,900 square feet.
In addition to rebranding efforts, TravelCenters said it may add quick service restaurants (QSRs) at some of these locations to complement existing QSR operations. Including these 19 locations, the Westlake-based company now operates 79 standalone gasoline/convenience stores.
TravelCenters has been boosting its Minit Mart footprint since it purchased 31 Minit Mart stores for $67.9 million in late 2013. Twenty-eight of the c-stores were located in Kentucky and three were in Tennessee, as CSNews Online previously reported.
TravelCenters operates travel centers under the TA and Petro Stopping Centers brands in 43 states and Canada. The 254 full-service locations offer customers diesel and gasoline fueling services, more than 500 full-service restaurants and QSRs, 24-hour convenience stores, heavy truck maintenance services, RoadSquad Connect, and Reserve-It.
TravelCenters also operates gasoline/convenience stores primarily under the Minit Mart brand name.
