TravelCenters to Offer Free Meals on Veterans Day

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America (TA) is offering complimentary meals to truck drivers who are veterans of the U.S. armed services on Veteran's Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, at more than 170 participating TA and Petro Stopping Center restaurants.

"We understand that veterans have sacrificed their personal and family time by being in the armed forces, and those who are also drivers do the same each and every day they are on the road," said Tom O'Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters.

He added, "Our goal is to honor veterans who are also drivers by recognizing them for their contributions in both protecting America and for keeping America moving each day they drive."

On Nov. 11, any driver who is a veteran and holds a commercial driver's license can receive a free meal of their choice, up to a $15 value, by showing proof of service prior to ordering their meal at Iron Skillet, Country Pride and other full-service restaurants within TA and Petro Stopping Centers. Proof of service includes: U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID card; veterans organization card; photograph in uniform; DD214; or citation or commendation, TA stated.

TA has 242 locations near interstate highway exits in 41 states and Canada.
