BRANSON, Miss. and SAN ANTONIO -- Tri-Lakes Petroleum Co. LLC, a wholesale fuel distributor servicing 75 retail and wholesale sites in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas, signed on with VP Racing Fuels Inc.'s national retail branding program.
“Because we’ve distributed racing fuel for VP for the last four years, we were aware of the brand’s great reputation for quality and performance,” said Marvin Roderman, president of Tri-Lakes, based in Branson, Miss. “But on the retail side, we operate in an area with a lot of major brands and super independents so we need every advantage to be competitive. That made VP’s low credit card rate a very big deal to us. Together with the option to buy unbranded fuel, that represents significant savings to us. The sharp-looking image and opportunity to sell other VP-branded products are a bonus.”
According to VP's website, its retail branding program provides higher margins, more profits and an attention-grabbing image, as well as unparalleled marketing support and a stable brand committed long-term to racing and retail gasoline sales.
“With years of experience dealing with major oil companies, it speaks volumes that Tri-Lakes saw major advantages with VP’s branding program,” said VP Racing Fuels President Alan Cerwick, adding that Tri-Lakes has a great reputation for doing what is right for its dealers.
“The in-depth savings, additional revenue and resulting profit from our brand program will put Tri-Lakes in a great position to pick up additional customers and add to its dealer base,” Cerwick continued.
Tri-Lakes Petroleum was purchased in 2012 by Steve Plaster and Evergreen Investments.
VP Racing Fuels is best known as the world leader in race fuel technology, fueling champions in virtually every form of motorsports on land, sea and air since 1975, according to the company. VP is the official racing fuel of NHRA Championship Drag Racing, the Tudor United SportsCar Championship, World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and Rally America, among more than 60 VP-sponsored racing organizations.
