Two Irving Oil Locations Leased to Canadian Tire
HALIFAX -- Two Novi Scotia Irving Oil locations will soon fly the Canadian Tire flag, Irving Oil Spokeswoman Jennifer Parker told the Chronicle Herald.
Parker explained that Canadian Tire will lease the properties in Dartmouth and Bible Hill. Both sites include convenience stores. "We will have a revenue-sharing agreement and Irving Oil will continue to supply all fuel products to the sites," Parker told the paper.
This latest announcement brings the total number lease location to seven, an initiative that began in 2003 when 16 stores were identified by both companies for rebranding. The last transition occurred in 2005 when Canadian Tire officially leased two Irving Oil locations in New Brunswick.
"We are always looking for different ways to add value to the sites. These particular locations that we've partnered on with Canadian Tire present a good business opportunity because they are very close to Canadian Tire stores," Parker told the paper.
"We just feel they allow us to grow our business and also focus on other either retail locations or even other parts of our business, like the wholesale side, where we actually supply gas stations," she added.
